Holy smokes.
ROH finally outgrew Frontier Fieldhouse.
It was a whale of a run. This city has been good to ROH and vice versa, with some exceptions (not pushing Ace Steel, firing Colt Cabana).
The Odeum says it can fit a max of 5500 for wrestling. It really depends on the setup. It's a testament to how well NJPW is getting in America. Or Omega. Or both.

I also haven't been to the Odeum since the ECW days. I think it's a great move. I'm sure this show will do well.

Holy smokes. ROH finally outgrew Frontier Fieldhouse. I don't know about that, when was the last time they even sold that place out? I'm betting they somehow only use half the place, otherwise it's gonna look bad.i went to Anarchy Rulz back in 99 ( ?), place was electric. This might be worth checking out. Edit: After looking around Chikara has Frontier listed on its site: chikarapro.com/venues/us-illinois-chicago-ridge/frontier-fieldhouseWonder if they are making the move there in 2018 and ROH wants to have an exclusi e venue in the market?

I went to a TNA house show there back in 09. There was about 500 people in attendance.

I went to a TNA house show there back in 09. There was about 500 people in attendance. Look at that main event: October 23, 2009–TNA House Show – in Villa Park, Illinois at the Odeum Sports & Expo Center: Alex Shelley b Shark Boy, Rhino b Kip James, ODB b Alissa Flash to retain the TNA Knockout title, Matt Morgan b Scott Steiner, Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed) b World Elite (Sheik Abdul Bashir & Kiyoshi), A.J. Styles b Samoa Joe to retain the TNA World Heavyweight title

Here is the show I went to, around 900 people in attendance I estimated at the time, not a great show, couple good matches: October 14, 2010–TNA House Show – in Rockford, Illinois at the Rockford Metro Centre: Samoa Joe b Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal b Douglas Williams to retain the TNA X Division title, Angelina Love b Madison Rayne, Beer Money (Robert Roode & Jams Storm) b Orlando Jordan & Eric Young, Rhino b Matt Morgan, Tommy Dreamer b Abyss in a Monster’s Ball Match

Highlight of the night was Steiner giving my friend the finger and the same friend yelling "Hebnah!" at Earl Hebner several times while he was was signing autographs. Show barely cracked two hours. That AJ-Joe main event went...9 minutes. I was pissed.

ROH corrected record, said Omega defense of US title not sure thing.
Observer (8/4/17):
"ROH tickets for the 10/15 show in Chicago with Kenny Omega went on sale today. In just a few hours, the company has already broken its all time ticket sales record for the market and it's a lock to be one of the two biggest crowds in company history. "
Not sure what the other crowd is. But considering the TV in Chicago...wow.

ROH did 4,000+ for their WrestleMania show this year with Bucks/Hardys ladder war. Bought my ticket yesterday. Looks to be selling well. Guess Omega and the NJPW name is a draw

Chikara and ROH had a double shot at frontier fieldhouse a few years ago.
