Vin vs. Fire Ant should rule. It's a rematch of their most excellent Young Lions Cup - Night Three finals match with cup will be on the line

I thought Chikara was all about wackiness like guys dressed up as robots and such...? This appears to be just a regular show. You really do live under a rock don't ya

So Silas and Ego are "pre-show"? Seriously? Well, neither of them have wrestled for Chikara before.

You really do live under a rock don't ya I've never been to one, i've just read and seen videos from people that post here. Was merely asking a question, and if not being in the know about a wrestling show is living under a rock, then i guess i'm living under a rock.

This show keeps looking better all the time. I know very little of this company but I'm really looking forward to the show. I have no idea what to expect. Ego vs Silas is indeed going to be a great one.

Let's explain Ego vs Silas. I was contacted initially to help find a building for the show, and to provide Insurance. In order to use it for this show I needed an NWA match on the card. Originally I asked that Quack defend the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title in order to meet the requirements as I never wanted to take away from the fact that this show was a Chikara show. Quack declined saying that he's only wrestling tags due to the injury he received last year at Ian's TPI. So we decided to put a different NWA match on the show. Ego is our NWA Midwest X Division Champion, and Silas is the NWA Midwest Heavyweight Champion. Ego will be wrestling for the heavyweight belt Silas has. Putting it on the pre show meets the requirements to insure the show, and doesn't interfere with it being an all Chikara show. Hope that clears that up.

Ed - I'm not trying to start anything by saying this but doesn't it seem weird having two of your title holders on in a "pre-show" match (a title match for your top strap)for a company that's never even ran in the Chicago area before? I know you must have a great realtionship with Quack, but I'd think those two featured would be a bigger draw to local fans. Not everyone has heard of Chikara and their name alone is what they seem to be depending on for a draw.

Putting on a match between two guys who work in the area almost every weekend and putting it on the main show pretty much defeats the purpose of bringing Chikara to the Midwest.

Added to Streamwood (people, get your tickets in advance, I don't want anyone crying to me if they can't get in. Other then Uncle Larry, Maybe Eastman, definitely not PJ Drummond)

Wouldn't the main purpose be to draw and make money? Getting back to my point - not everyone has heard of Chikara and trying to draw on their name alone is a gamble in a market they've never been to before.

I admit that I'm not too familiar with the Chikara stars. Of course, I've heard of Mike Quackenbush. I do like that local stars such as Acid Jaz, Willie Da Bomb, Silas Young & Ego are all on the card. It is also cool having names that I'm not too familiar with also on the card. I've never seen Tim Donst wrestle but heard good stuff on him. It's nice to see fresh faces. Never know who will be tomorrow's future stars. Adding Drake Younger is an awesome move. Also cool to know that Ed Chuman is in the area.

Is NWA MW coming to an area near Streamwood anytime soon? Other than this show of course.
