 PCW results 5/15

Pro Championship Wrestling had another sell out show at the Summit American Legion Hall. We continued our road to Dream Night IX with the following matches:

There was a ladder set up to start the show. Shawn Davis came to the ring and said that his dream of going to Dream Night as the champion had been taken away by Jay Phoenix. Then at our last show, Joe Heisman took away his dream of being the Midwest champion. So Davis was invoking his heavyweight title rematch at Dream Night, and that it would now be a triple threat ladder match between himself, Joe Heisman and Jay Phoenix.

Chicago Connection [Whiplash & "Superbad" Santana Starks] w/PL Myers def. Gen Pop [NBK & Modern Day Double A] w/JTW

The exciting team of Gen Pop made their debut, but were unsucessful against the Connection. With all four men in the ring, Double A was sent out when Whiplash pulled the ropes down. Whiplash then hit a Michinoku driver on NBK, and Starks (The legal man) hit a Book End for the pinfall.

Tom Heisman def. "Feature Presentation" Johnny Mac

Mac had control early on, but things changed after a surprising turn of events. Mac had hung Creed upside down off the top rope and was choking him with some of his wrist tape. Referee JH Schmidt admonished him, when Heisman picked up the tape and started choking Mac, while still upside down! Back in the ring Tom got the win after two running knee lifts to a dazed Johnny Mac in the corner followed by a shoulder block takedown for the pinfall.

Rick Knight w/PL Myers def. "Main Event" Josh Christian

The rookie certainly had Knight matched in what was a very physical fight. However Knight was whipped into the corner and went down. He was motionless for a good minute as the ref checked on him. A concerned Josh offered him a hand up, but this was a mistake as Knight grabbed him into a small package for the win.

SIMMONS Inc [JT Simmons, Aaron Cruise & "Big" Leon Tatum] w/Jenna Monroe def. "Fabulous" Jason Vee, Wilhelm Flannigan & Robert Michaels w/Cousin Katie

This match was certainly fast-paced and chaotic. The move of the night came when Leon charged Robert Michaels who actually picked up the large man and slammed him. A massive "Holy S***" chant broke out, as Tatum is easily over 300lbs. While Tatum, Simmons and Michaels fought outside, Flannigan planchaed onto the trio. This left Vee in the ring to get speared by Cruise for the win.

MIDWEST TITLE
Chris Styles(c) def. Butcher

Styles and Butcher went back and forth with the champion retaining after hitting his running flatliner. Almost immediately Jarod Priest hit the ring and brutally beat down the Butcher with a kendo stick. He called the Butcher a psychopath, but he was a sociopath and the more dangerous kind of monster. He challenged the Butcher to a kendo vs kendo match at Dream Night IX.

A video was played advertising Maria Kanellis as our special guest at Dream Night IX.

WOMENS TITLE

December(c) def. Serenity

Serenity had improved her game since her last appearance in PCW but it still wasn't enough as December got the pin after her Jawbreaker finisher.

Matt Creed def. Erix Marx by DQ

This match didn't even get started as after a minute Johnny Mac hit the ring and the Chicago Home Wreckers beat down Creed. Tom Heisman hit the ring but was stopped and hand cuffed to the ropes, as the beating continued. Eric Marx whipped both men with a leather belt as the tag team champions were booed out of the building.

Geoffrey Percival Austere def. "Party Animal" Wally Wilde via count out

GPA pulled off another count out win, but this time thanks to the Chicago Connection. Whiplash, PL and Rick Knight brought out chairs and sat at ringside during the match. At one point, GPA was reading a book while he had Wally's head trapped in a leg lock. But things changed when Whiplash held up a sign that read "Wally's kids love Uncle Whip" with actual photos of Wally's children on it. Wally baseball slid into Rick Knight and then brawled out of the building with Whiplash as the referee counted him out.

Rion Skillz, JTW & "Hot Bod" Shawn Davis w/Gen Pop def. Jarod Priest, Joe Heisman & "Master Technician" Jay Phoenix w/December & PL Myers

There was much back and forth in this match, with an interesting momeng being Jarod Priest getting JTW in an ab stretch. He then reached over to Heisman for added leverage, who in turn reached to Phoenix who reached down to December. The end came when it became obvious that Joe Heisman and Jay Phoenix were having trouble working together. Shawn Davis got out of the way and Phoenix and Heisman clothes-lined each other. This left Priest to get hit by Rion's spinning slam, a DDT by JTW and finally a flying elbow drop by Davis for the pinfall. After the match, Phoenix held Davis who again ducked, and Heisman nailed Phoenix with a belt shot. This led to Phoenix laying out Heisman and then Davis laying out the champion!

Just a note, the V stands for Vendetta...not VEE.

So Ms. December "got the pin after his Jawbreaker finisher." Was Mr. Joe Heisman involved, or do we have huge breaking news here?!?

I'll explain :)
This is my version of the events- in third person, for your viewing pleasure:

December came to the ring unaccompanied by Joe Heisman (who had a very important match later on that night). When December got to the ring, she saw Serenity, who had made the mistake of wearing pigtails to the ring. This sent December into a jealous rage, stating that, "Serenity has destroyed the sanctity of pigtails!!" The match was underway, with December attacking Serenity's hair all the while stating that "I wear the pigtails around here!!" While Serenity demonstrated quickness and skill, December eventually got the upper hand, and defeated Serenity with her finisher, The Cold Shoulder (jawbreaker). After the match, December got a hold of Serenity before she was able to leave, and removed the hair bands from Serenity's hair and threw them to the ground, stating that Serenity did not deserve to wear pigtails.

Hope you liked my version of events, Howie!! I was at Joe Heisman's side when he competed in the main event later on that evening. Thanks for reading!! :)

Whew, thanks for clearing that up. Poor anchov might have gone into a deep depression without that clarification. LOL
I must say Ms. December gives such a lucid play-by-play account of her own match that perhaps she should be handed a microphone to call her match as it takes place -- as the NWO Outsiders & Jerry Lawler have done.
It never ceases to amaze me how Ms. December's rivals invite and appear to underestimate her wrath. Maria had better watch her proverbial Ps & Qs when she comes to Dream Night.

Shawn Davis is getting his rematch at Dream Night IX. He's in a triple threat ladder match against Jay Phoenix and Joe Heisman.

December's recap has been corrected to reflect the appropriate gender.

Being the old-school aficionado that I am, let me suggest a December/Serenity pigtails v. pigtails match for Dream Night.
